Administration

Brendan Sullivan, PT, MSPT, OCS
Director of Physical Therapy, Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation

A member of the team since 2006, Brendan received his bachelors degree in Health Sciences from Boston University and his masters in Physical Therapy from Boston University. He worked as a therapist for eight years in the United States Army, serving as chief therapist at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, and at medical facilities in Germany. Brendan received his Board Certification as an Orthopaedic Clinical Specialist and continues to specialize in orthopaedics and manual therapies. He has extensive training in spine and extremity rehabilitation and is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists.




David CluckDavid Cluck, ATC, PTA, LAT
Assistant Director of Physical Therapy, Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation

A part of the team since 2001, David received his bachelors in Sports Medicine from Messiah College before completing his AA as a physical therapist assistant from Central Pennsylvania College. David treats orthopaedic injuries with an emphasis on foot, ankle and shoulder rehabilitation. He has worked with multiple levels of athletes from high school to the professional teams and has developed sport specific strength and conditioning programs for minor league baseball pitchers. David is also certified as a Body Balance for Performance Golf Fitness Specialist and is a member of the National Athletic Trainer's Association and the Pennsylvania Athletic Trainer's Association.




Chelsea Zavilla, PharmD, BCPS, MPS
Associate Director of Physical Therapy, Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation

Chelsea graduated from the University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy and then completed her two-year Health System Pharmacy Administration residency at the University of Virginia Health System. During her residency, Chelsea earned her Masters of Pharmaceutical Sciences degree and a Teaching and Learning certificate from Virginia Commonwealth University. After residency, she served as the Clinical Pharmacy Manager and PGY1 Residency Program Director at Bon Secours Memorial Regional Medical Center in the Richmond, VA, area. In May 2022, Chelsea joined the Chester County Hospital team as the Associate Director of Pharmacy and currently serves as a preceptor for the Pharmacy Administration residency rotation..


Fern Hill

Greg Speca, PT, DPTGreg Speca, PT, DPT
Physical Therapy Site Lead, Fern Hill

Greg is a native of Downingtown, PA and attended Downingtown West High School. In 2012, Greg earned his Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from The University of Scranton and went on to earn his Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2015 from The University of Scranton. During his graduate work, Greg interned at the Vestibular & Balance Center at Geisinger in Danville, PA, where he developed a passion for vestibular rehabilitation. He worked in an outpatient orthopedics setting for Brandywine Hospital from 2015-2022. After joining the Penn Medicine team in 2022, Greg was certified in Vestibular Rehabilitation via Duke University and the APTA (American Physical Therapy Association). He enjoys treating a variety of conditions using an individualized treatment approach. Greg is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and the Vestibular Disorders Association. In his free time, Greg enjoys spending time with his family and supporting Philadelphia-based sports teams.




Merion Cella RiesMarion Cella-Ries, PT, CLT/LANA
Program Coordinator, Lymphedema, Fern Hill

A member of the team since 1993, Marion received her bachelors degree in Physical Therapy from Thomas Jefferson University. She worked several years in inpatient rehabilitation, home care and pediatrics before joining the team in the Kennett Square, PA office. She is certified by the Lymphedema Association of North America to provide complete decongestive therapy (Vodder) methods including manual lymph drainage and has attended numerous continuing education courses in the area of orthopedics and manual therapy. 




Kevin Curtis, OT, CHT 
Certified Hand Therapist, Fern Hill and Exton

Initially from New Jersey, Kevin has been practicing as a Certified Hand Therapist in Chester County for the past 19 years. After obtaining his Bachelor's Degree from Purdue University, he returned to school to get his Master's of Science in Occupational Therapy from Columbia University in 1997 and became a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) in 2002.

He has worked in multiple practice settings and served as a Senior Staff Therapist with Brown University's orthopedic group. After 4 years in Rhode Island, Kevin and his family settled in Chester County where Kevin served as the Coordinator of Hand therapy Services for Brandywine Hospital for over 16 years. Happily joining the Penn Medicine at Chester County Hospital hand therapy team in 2022, Kevin provides hand therapy services in both the Fern Hill and Exton Offices. When not at work you can find him spending time with his family or tending to his aquariums or hot pepper gardens. 



Julia McDonnellJulia L. McDonnell, DPT, Cert. MDT
Program Coordinator, Spine, Fern Hill

Julia joined the Rehabilitation staff of Chester County Hospital in February of 2008. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Nutritional Sciences from Cornell University with a minor in Sport and Exercise Science from Ithaca College in 1997. She received her Masters in Physical Therapy in 2000 and her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2003 from Temple University. Julia has been an adjunct instructor for Temple's Physical Therapy School since 2001.

In 2005, she became a Certified McKenzie Therapist in the diagnosis and treatment of mechanical spine and extremity pain. Julia has focused on spine care through clinical care, international research work, and teaching / mentoring endeavors. She has past experience in acute, skilled nursing, and inpatient rehab settings from working at Moss Rehab, the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and Presbyterian Medical Center in Philadelphia. Julia is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and the McKenzie Institute International.




Jill TownsendJill Townsend, PT, BS, CHT
Lead, Hand Therapy, Fern Hill

A part of the team since 2001, Jill has over 40 years of experience in the field of Physical Therapy. She received her degree from the University of Buffalo, specializing in Hand Therapy since 1987 (obtaining her Hand Therapy Certification in 1991). Jill holds a certification in Functional Nutrition for Chronic Pain and is a Certified Ergonomic Assessment Specialist. She is a member of the American Society of Hand Therapists, with a special interest in Wellness, Ergonomics, and Performing Arts. She has presented at the Philadelphia Hand Conference, Pennsylvania Music Teachers Association meetings, and the Curtis Institute of Music Seminars.

Jill has the pleasure of working as a volunteer for Therapy Clinics International. During her free time, she enjoys gardening, walking, spending time with family/grandchildren, and church activities..




Jennifer Del Rossi, MPT
Vestibular/Concussion Specialist, Fern Hill

A member to the team since 2017, Jennifer has an undergraduate degree from Randolph Macon College in Virginia and went on to earn her Master of Science in Physical Therapy from Shenandoah University in 1999. She has clinical expertise in treating Vestibular and Concussion injuries and has attended and completed several advanced courses in concussion recovery. She has helped to mentor peers in vestibular rehab and has been a lab instructor in Vestibular based competency courses. She has been practicing physical therapy for 19 years in various settings including, acute care, brain injury, inpatient rehabilitation and orthopedics.




Katlin Moyer, MA, CCC-SLP/L 
Fern Hill Outpatient Speech Therapy & Acute Care Speech

Katlin is a Pennsylvania-licensed Speech-Language Pathologist and a member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). She earned her Master of Arts in Communication Sciences & Disorders from Edinboro University in 2012, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Audiology & Speech-Language Pathology from Bloomsburg University in 2010. Katlin has worked in a variety of settings including outpatient, acute care, inpatient and outpatient acute rehabilitation, long-term care, and assisted living. In these settings she has experience evaluating and treating adults with speech/language, voice, cognition, and swallowing disorders. Katlin joined the Chester County Hospital team in 2021 and is currently providing services in the acute care setting as well as outpatient rehabilitation at the Fern Hill campus.




James P. Herlihey, MPT

Having practiced physical therapy for more than 25 years, Jim returned to Chester County Hospital in 2011 after having worked at the hospital through 1997.  He earned an undergraduate degree from Villanova University prior to earning his master’s degree from Hahnemann (now Drexel) University in 1992. He has acquired broad experience including homecare, skilled nursing, outpatient orthopedics, acute care; therapy for  prosthetics, spinal injury, neurological disorders, wound care, vestibular and concussion, balance, with expertise in geriatrics. Jim most enjoys mentoring students, presenting educational classes, and rehabilitating seniors and other patients from varying backgrounds.




Juli Kmetzo, PT, DPT

Juli joined the Chester County Hospital rehabilitation team in 2019 as the Sports Program Coordinator. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Arizona before getting her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Temple University in 2014. Juli enjoys working with athletes from middle school up to the master’s division. In her free time, you can find her on the local trails mountain biking and running.




Mary Knisely, PT

A member of the team since 2006, Mary graduated from the University of Delaware where she received her degree in Physical Therapy. She has previously worked in Dallas, Texas at St. Paul's Human Performance Center and various Sports Medicine Clinics. She has also worked in an outpatient orthopedic clinic in Hillsboro, Oregon.

Her professional running career as a middle-distance runner allowed her to compete at the international level and provided insight into the importance of proper training, treatment and rehabilitation of injuries.  Injury prevention played an essential role in her success as a runner and she places importance in educating her patients in the self-care of their bodies, encouraging them to be active in the treatment process. A mainstay in educating her patients also includes proper sitting and standing posture and body mechanics. Manual therapy and massage was an essential tool she used to promote her body’s ability to heal after a running injury, which helped her reduce pain and improve her performance.

As a result of her experience, she incorporated a therapy called IASTM – instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization using Graston instruments – into her manual skill set. She has a special interest in Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy of the spine and is pursuing education in this area. She has been involved in the community with conditioning youth male ice hockey players, and has been an assistant coach for girls cross country, outdoor and indoor track at the High School level.




Christine Larzelere, PT, MPT

Christine graduated with her Master's Degree in Physical Therapy in 2001 from UMDNJ/Rutgers. After working several years in the inpatient setting she transitioned to the outpatient setting and enjoyed travel PT for a few years. She moved to Colorado and worked for the University of Colorado Hospital (UCH) where she developed her professional passions for women's health, oncology rehabilitation, and lymphedema. Christine worked closely with the oncology team to assist in the development of UCH's breast cancer survivorship program. She has since relocated back east to PA and has joined Penn Medicine Chester County Hospital’s rehabilitation team! She looks forward to further developing her clinical passions and facilitating clients' functional independence! 

Areas of clinical special interest: post-op care, women's health/ pelvic rehabilitation, oncology and breast cancer rehabilitation, LSVT BIG certified, upper extremity and head and neck lymphedema certified. In her spare time, she loves exercising, spending time with family, and exploring nature!.




Dave Laurento, OTR/L, CHT, CEAS, CFCE

Dave received his Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy from Temple University.  He achieved Hand Therapy Certification in 2001 and has since been working primarily with the upper extremity. Dave is also a Certified Ergonomic Assessment Specialist. He has been a member of the Chester County Hospital team since 2004 and spends time in the Fern Hill and West Grove Hand Therapy clinics.




Eric Medaglia-Kurtz, PT, DPT

Eric graduated from Widener University in 2018 with his Doctorate of Physical Therapy. He has been an LSVT BIG Certified Clinician since 2019, which is a program that specializes in working with patients with Parkinson’s disease. Eric is also trained in McKenzie Method A and B courses for the evaluation and treatment of spinal pain and dysfunction. He has extensive experience in the outpatient setting, working with patients with geriatric issues, and orthopedic and sports-related injuries.




Joseph Torello BS, PTA, ATRIC

Joe graduated from Ole Miss in 1998 with a bachelor’s in exercise physiology. He then traveled to Knoxville, Tennessee where he earned a Physical Therapist Assistant degree from South College in 2000. He has attended post-graduate courses in spine care and worked under the direction of multiple McKenzie therapists as well as certified hand therapists. He has attended multiple aquatic courses as well as an intensive post-graduate aquatic course in Bad Ragaz, Switzerland. He joined the team in 2006 and his primary specialties include homecare, sports rehabilitation, aquatics and spine care. His hobbies include going to the gym, hiking, biking, traveling and spending time on the water.




Patty Wetzel, PT, OCS, COMT 

Patty graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from Georgia State University. She is currently pursuing her Doctorate of Physical Therapy at The College of St. Scholastica. Patty joined the Chester County Hospital Fern Hill Rehabilitation team in 2021. She came to Fern Hill with a special interest in outpatient orthopaedics. Furthering her passion for her field of study, Patty has earned several certifications in the area of outpatient orthopaedics, including: Certification in Orthopaedic Manual Therapy in 2020, Board Certified Orthopedic Certified Specialist in 2021, as well as certifications in instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization called the Graston Technique. She is also a certified Kinesio Tape Practitioner.  As an outpatient orthopaedic therapist, Patty specializes in all aspects of orthopaedics with special interests in the spine, shoulder, hip and sports physical therapy from teens to adults. As a life-long runner, and now healthcare professional, she strives to provide an intensive, whole body approach to evidence-based rehabilitation and wellness. In her personal time, she enjoys spending time with her family, running, and rooting for the Philadelphia Eagles.


 

Exton

Dan ElkinsDaniel A. Elkins, MSPT, ATC, LAT, Clinic Director
Site Lead, Exton 

Dan is a graduate of West Chester University and Neumann College. He started his career in West Chester with a two-year sports medicine fellowship and then worked in the Wilmington, DE community for 10 years. In Wilmington, he was involved in the rehabilitation of patient's with total joint replacements, amputations, diabetes, complications with pregnancy (LBP/ Sciatica), post-trauma orthopaedic, and sports injuries. Dan joined the Chester County Hospital team as Lead Therapist of our Exton Outpatient Physical Therapy Department bringing a wide variety of experience in the health care world. He has worked with brain injury patients, physically and mentally handicapped children, aquatic rehabilitation, high school and college athletics (Division I & II) and professional athletes from the Philadelphia Phillies and the World Team Tennis Delaware Smash. Dan is a West Chester, PA native that enjoys surfing and is an avid fly fisherman.

Todd Matukaitis, PT, DPT, CSCS, CEAS
Program Coordinator, Student Clinical Education

A member of the team since 2007, Todd graduated from Misericordia University in 2004 with his Master of Science in Physical Therapy and completed his Doctorate in Physical Therapy at Shenandoah University in 2010. He is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. He completed his Certification to become an ergonomic assessment specialist (CEAS) through the Back School of Atlanta. He has completed additional continuing education courses in orthopedic manual therapy, sports strength and conditioning/rehab, and functional rehab. Todd is an APTA certified Clinical Instructor for Physical Therapy Students and currently serves as Chester County Hospital’s Coordinator of Clinical Education (CCCE).




Catherine Poole, PT, DPT, CLT

Katie has been a member of the Penn Medicine Chester County Hospital team since 2019. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from Immaculata University in 2012. Katie graduated from Thomas Jefferson University with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2014 and was certified as a Lymphedema Therapist through the Norton School of Lymphatics in 2021. She has experience working with patients with various orthopedic conditions, as well as management of Temporomandibular Disorder (TMD), post-cancer surgery recovery, lymphedema, and lipedema. Katie is proud to be a member of the rehab team at Chester County Hospital. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and kids.

Southern Chester County

Christopher Lengel, MPT, OCS, ATC
Site Lead, Penn Medicine Southern Chester County

Chris is a native of West Chester, PA and attended St. Agnes and Bishop Shanahan High School. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree from East Stroudsburg University with a concentration in Athletic Training and Sports Medicine. While at East Stroudsburg, Chris lettered in baseball for all four years and graduated with honors. In 1994, Chris became a Certified Athletic Trainer and served for three years in an Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Fellowship program in Chester County. In 1999, Chris graduated with honors from Southwest Baptist University with a Master of Physical Therapy degree. Chris worked in Baltimore, MD from 1999 to 2008, where he specialized in Sports Medicine and Orthopaedics. Chris became a Board Certified Orthopaedic Clinical Specialist in 2004. Chris has served Southern Chester County, as a Physical Therapist, since 2008, and is currently the site lead in our Penn Medicine Southern Chester County facility in West Grove, PA.




Carrie Leese, PT, DPT, CLT

Carrie Leese is a native of West Grove, PA who has experience treating a wide range of conditions and patients of all ages. Her experience includes outpatient and inpatient settings along with skilled nursing facilities. Carrie received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Widener University in 2011, her Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science from Slippery Rock University in 2008, and a massage therapist certificate from the Pennsylvania School of Muscle Therapy in 1998. In 2015, Carrie became a Certified Lymphedema Therapist through the Norton School of Lymphatic Therapy. Carrie’s interest is in manual therapy skills, providing a hands-on approach to physical therapy treatments. Her continuing education courses include Functional Movement Screen, Myofascial Release, and KT Taping, to name a few.

Along with her knowledge in rehabilitation, manual therapy, and strength and conditioning, Carrie has an extensive background in working with horses and riders including working for equestrian athletes up to the Olympic level. Carrie continues to integrate her knowledge of modern conditioning and orthopedic concepts to help with rehabilitation and injury prevention of the equestrian athlete in the Southern Chester County area.




Lisa Rayne, PT, BS

Lisa has been working as a Physical Therapist for 27 years. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy at Ithaca College. Lisa has worked in acute care, outpatient, home care, long term care and adult rehabilitation settings and has specialized in geriatric rehab.  Lisa enjoys baking, hiking, and traveling to the beach and national parks.  Lisa lives in New London, PA with her husband and 2 children.




Jessica Schappelle, PT, DPT

Jessica attended Widener University where she received her Bachelor of Science in Biology in 2018 and her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2020. While at Widener, she competed for the cross country and track and field teams and is a Certified Running Gait Analyst through RunDNA. Since becoming a physical therapist, Jess has developed an interest in treating pelvic floor dysfunction, training through the Herman & Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute. In her spare time, Jess enjoys exercising, hanging out with her dog, and spending time outdoors.




 

Westtown

Ben Zelner, PT, DPT, OCS
Physical Therapy Site Lead, Westtown

A member of the team since 2021, Ben received his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of the Sciences in 2014, as well as a minor in Exercise Science and Wellness Management. He then went on to obtain Board Certification in Orthopaedics in 2017 after completing an accredited residency program. Ben has experience in outpatient and inpatient settings for hospital-based clinics and a passion for treating orthopaedic and neurological patients. He focuses on manual therapy techniques and progressive dynamic exercises to help his patients achieve their goals quickly. Passionate about research, Ben has presented on the state and national levels for studies that he has conducted and been involved with. He joined as an American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) member in 2013 and is also a member of the Orthopaedic Section of APTA. He resides in West Chester, PA, with his Wife and 2 kids.

 


Hailey Bortner, PT, DPT

Hailey completed her Bachelor of Science with a minor in psychology at Lock Haven University in 2020. She then received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in May 2023. Hailey has completed clinical rotations in hospital settings, rehabilitation centers, and private practices; and found herself at Fern Hill on her final affiliation. She enjoys connecting with her patients and encouraging them to take control of their own rehabilitation journey. Hailey completed her level 1 certification in pelvic health; furthering her passion in womens health and treating pelvic floor conditions. In her free time, you can find Hailey taking walks with her husband and corgi, or trying new recipes in the kitchen.



Andrew Brough, PT, DPT

Andrew is a graduate of Temple University where he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology in 2018 and then went on to earn his Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2021. He is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. He has interests in sports rehab, tendon injuries, and patient education. Andrew enjoys collaborating with his patients, creating an individualized plan of care, and implementing active strategies in helping patients achieve their unique goals. In his free time, he enjoys lifting weights, DIY home projects, and hanging out with friends and family.



Jared James, PT, DPT

A member of the team since January 2024.  Jared attended West Chester University for his undergraduate degree in Exercise Science along with graduating from Temple University with his Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2021. Jared has received his specialization in vestibular rehabilitation from the American Institute of Balance along with having strong interest in neurological and chronic pain conditions. Jared is currently working to obtain his CNPT and studying nutrition and its association with progressive exercise in their contribution to one’s health and wellness journey.  He has strong passion for golf although his handicap is still greater than the average football score, along with strength training and hiking. Residing in Media, PA, there is never a dull moment for him, his significant other, and dog, Shades.


Acute Care

Jill TownsendDenise Margaret Karl, PT, BS
Lead, Acute Care

Denise is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania with a B.S. in Physical Therapy. She has been employed with Chester County Hospital since 1988 and is currently the Lead Therapist in the Acute Care Physical Therapy Department. Denise was very involved with the development and implementation of the orthopaedic services offered at the Hospital as well as the Soarian project, an electronic documentation process developed in partnership with Siemens. She is a member of the discharge planning committee and the JCAHO taskforce.

 



Lisa CrisantiLisa Crisanti, OT, BS
Lead, Acute Occupational Therapy

Lisa graduated from West Chester University with a B.A. in English Literature. She worked in magazine publishing before returning to Thomas Jefferson University to earn a Post Baccalaureate Certificate in Occupational Therapy in 1994. She has been employed with Chester County Hospital since 1997 as Lead Therapist in the Transitional Care Unit and is currently the Lead Therapist in the Occupational Therapy Acute Care Department. Lisa is a member of the Skin Integrity Task Force and has assisted with the development of the Hospital's orthopaedic service line as well as the Soarian project, an electronic documentation process developed in partnership with Siemens.




Beth PickerdBeth Balmer-Pickerd, MS, CCC/SLP-L
Lead, Speech Pathology

Beth graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology. She is an active member of the nutrition care committee, forms development team, as well as being involved in the training and transition to Soarian. Areas of interest include the evaluation and treatment of adults with swallowing and/or communication disorders as well as mentoring student clinicians. She has furthered her training in interpretation of videofluoroscopic swallowing studies and is a member of the American Speech, Language, and Hearing Association.




Julia McDonnellSusannah Jenks, PT, MS
Lead Weekend Therapist

Susannah graduated from the University of Maine with a B.S. in Business Administration / Marketing. She received her Master’s degree in Physical Therapy from Widener University in 1998. She started working for Chester County Hospital at our out-patient facilities from 1998 – 2005. She has worked in the inpatient acute care department since 2007 and is currently the Lead Physical Therapist for the Weekend Therapy Program – WIN.




Julia McDonnellStefanie Steinberger, PT, DPT
Lead, NICU

A member of Chester County Hospital's staff since 2004, Stefanie has over 17 years of experience in the field of Physical Therapy and has specialized in the field of Neonatal and Developmental Physical Therapy since 2002. She received her masters and doctorate degrees in Physical Therapy from Temple University. Stefanie is certified as a Neonatal Touch and Massage Therapist since 2015.  She is the lead NICU PT and also the coordinator of the Developmental Follow Up Clinic for NICU graduates. Stefanie is an active member of NANT, the National Association of Neonatal Therapists. She routinely trains Neonatal and Pediatric staff nurses about the latest techniques in developmental care for neonates and infants. She is active in creating policies to improve the NICU environment for developing preemies. Lauren Dunbar, MA

Lauren received her undergraduate degree from Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor in Arts in Speech Pathology and obtained her Master of Arts in Speech Pathology from West Chester University. Lauren has been a member of the Chester County Hospital team since 2005. Her areas of interest include evaluation and treatment of adults with communication and swallowing disorders and she has advanced training in video fluoroscopy swallow studies. She is a member of the American Speech and Hearing Association.




Stacy Firely, M.A., CCC-SLP - Acute Care Speech Therapists
Speech-Language Pathologist

Stacy received her B.S. in Communicative Disorders from East Stroudsburg University and obtained her Master of Speech and Hearing Science from West Chester University in 2009.  She holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence and is a member of the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association (ASHA).  Stacy has worked in various settings including early intervention, skilled nursing, acute care, and long-term acute care (LTACH) since graduation.  She has been with Chester County Hospital’s inpatient acute care team since 2011 and works in the adult, pediatric and NICU units. In the adult unit, she provides evaluation and treatment for patients with speech, language, and swallowing disorders.  In the pediatric and NICU units, she provides assessments and treatment for babies with difficulty feeding. Stacy is trained to complete Video Fluoroscopic Swallow Studies, Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallow (FEES) studies and is Certified in Tracheoesophageal Puncture placement and changes.




Priscilla Jordan, MSOT, BA Sociology

Priscilla graduated from University of Massachusetts, Amherst with a BA in Sociology.  She worked as an activities therapist in a psychiatric hospital for children in Massachusetts where she was introduced to the field of Occupational Therapy.  She returned to graduate school to pursue her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from Tufts University in Medford, Massachusetts in 1996. She began her occupational therapy career at the Wilmington Hospital Center for Rehabilitation and worked there in acute rehabilitation, acute care and outpatient brain injury for 15 years. She has experience working as an Occupational Therapist in the education system, sub-acute rehab and long term acute care (LTACH). She began working at County Hospital per diem in October 2016 and transitioned to full time in May 2018.




Matthew Leocha, PT, DPT, NTMTC II

Matt has been a member of the physical therapy team at Chester County Hospital since 2014. He graduated from West Chester University in 2007 with a B.S. in Biology and received his doctorate in Physical Therapy from Temple University in 2011. Matt has experience in various fields within acute care, but has worked primarily in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and pediatric departments.  He is a certified Neonatal Touch and Massage therapist and is an active member of NANT, the National Association of Neonatal Therapists. Matt enjoys working with infants and families at Chester County Hospital and seeks to provide a nurturing environment conducive to growth and development, and parental bonding. He hopes to continue his specialization within the neonatal field and obtain a National Neonatal Therapy Certification.



 

Katlin Moyer, MA, CCC-SLP/L 
Outpatient Speech Therapy & Acute Care Speech

Katlin is a Pennsylvania-licensed Speech-Language Pathologist and a member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). She earned her Master of Arts in Communication Sciences & Disorders from Edinboro University in 2012, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Audiology & Speech-Language Pathology from Bloomsburg University in 2010. Katlin has worked in a variety of settings including outpatient, acute care, inpatient and outpatient acute rehabilitation, long-term care, and assisted living. In these settings she has experience evaluating and treating adults with speech/language, voice, cognition, and swallowing disorders. Katlin joined the Chester County Hospital team in 2021 and is currently providing services in the acute care setting as well as outpatient rehabilitation at the Fern Hill campus.




Christine Pettit, PTA

Christine has been a member of the team since 2001. Christine earned her Associate of Science as a Physical Therapy Assistant from Harcum College.  She later furthered her education at West Chester University where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Health Science. Christine has worked in many of the units in the hospital. Most recently she has been seeing patients on Lasko Tower 3. She provides physical therapy care to many of the orthopaedic patients, which include total hip and total knee replacements, spine surgery and shoulder surgery. Christine is also a member of the Falls Committee, which is a multidisciplinary team that works to improve patient safety and decrease patient falls throughout the Hospital.




Melinda Renaldo, PTA

Mindy has been a member of Chester County Hospital's Department of Physical Therapy, Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine since 1998. She began in the Transitional Care Unit, assisted in various outpatient settings as needed and is currently in the Acute Care Department. Mindy has treated patients on all units within the hospital, including orthopaedics, cardiovascular and intensive care patients. She was an All-American gymnast at Temple University and graduated with a degree in Exercise Physiology and a minor in Health Sciences. She received her Physical Therapy Assistant degree from Alvernia College. Mindy also coaches gymnastics at the West Chester YMCA.




Ashley Terlingo, MA, CCC-SLP
Speech Language Pathologist

Ashley has been a part of the Chester County Hospital family since 2003 and has worked with the rehab team since 2013. Ashley graduated from Temple University with a Master of Arts degree in Speech, Language and Hearing Science. She holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence and is a member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). She provides evaluation and treatment for adults with swallowing and/or communication disorders. She enjoys working with student clinicians. She is trained to complete Video Fluoroscopic Swallow Studies and is MBSImP certified. 

NICU

Stefanie Schwartz, DPT, CNT, NTMTC
NICU PT Lead

Stefanie has been a member of Chester County Hospital's staff and the lead Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Physical Therapist since 2004. She has over 20 years of experience in the field of Physical Therapy and has specialized in the field of Neonatal and Developmental Physical Therapy since 2002. She received her Masters and Doctorate degrees in Physical Therapy from Temple University. Stefanie obtained Neonatal Touch and Massage Therapist certification in 2015, and became a Certified Neonatal Therapist in 2018. Stefanie is an active member of the National Association of Neonatal Therapists (NANT), and she is active in program development, staff education, and policy writing to improve the NICU and pediatric environments for developing infants. She also works to implement the latest techniques in developmental care. Stefanie serves as the chair of the Developmental Care Committee at the hospital, which furthers developmental care for our littlest patients.
