Where can I buy tickets?
Tickets are available online, by mail, by phone or in person. Starting in September, you can purchase tickets at The Chester County Hospital in the main lobby, cashier's office and gift shop. They're also for sale at The Chester County Historical Society, preview lectures and satellite ticket locations. See "Tickets" page for a complete list. Tickets are non-refundable.
What if I lose my ticket?
We're sorry, but we cannot replace lost tickets. If you purchase a new ticket and later find your lost ticket, you can send it to us for a refund.
Can I buy tickets at the last minute?
Yes! If they're not sold out, you can purchase tickets at any of the houses on the "Day" for $40. They also are available at our satellite ticket locations on Chester County Day.
Are children and pets allowed on the tour?
Since they're private homes, we must limit the tour to children age 12 and older. We also ask that you not carry babies or backpacks with you. No pets, please.
What time are the houses open?
The houses are open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the "Day."
Are photos and cell phones allowed?
You can take photos outside the houses, but we ask that you respect the homeowners and not photograph inside. Also for that reason, please do not use cell phones inside the houses.
How do I find the homes?
We include a program and map with your tickets. There are descriptions and locations of all the houses. We also suggest a route, but you can plot your own depending on which houses interest you most.
What is the dress code?
We encourage comfortable business casual dress. Dress as if you are visiting a neighbor's house for the first time.
