Moore Neonatal Intensive Care Unit

Specialized Care for Newborn Babies

At The Moore Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Chester County Hospital, our neonatologists treat babies who are born prematurely, experience respiratory problems at birth, or may require additional observation and/or treatment due to other complications.

Approximately 10% of the hospital's newborns receive care in our Level III NICU; some for only a few hours and others for as many days as needed.

Congratulations on the birth of your baby! The physicians, nurses and staff at Chester County Hospital welcome you to The Moore Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).

Having a baby in the NICU can be frightening and certainly not what you had planned. Our staff and physicians are here to provide excellent care for your baby and to help you with adjusting to the NICU. We are honored to partner with you in the care of your newborn. You are a valued member of your baby's healthcare team.

Our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) is led by a team of neonatologists from The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) on staff at Chester County Hospital complemented by highly skilled neonatal nurses. Our NICU is the only certified Level III nursery in Chester County and is staffed with neonatal specialists 24 hours a day. We are able to care for infants requiring specialized care with advanced technology, monitoring and support services to give you and your baby the attention required.

We want to support you in taking an active role in caring for your baby. Let us know how we can make this time easier for you during your baby’s stay in the NICU. As questions arise, please don’t hesitate to ask us.

The NICU phone number is 610-431-5394. When calling to get an update on your baby, please provide the baby's last name and the unique security code given to you upon admission to ensure privacy. Your baby's safety is our number one priority.

In addition to speaking with one of our team members for an update, you can securely log in to the AngelEye app or website any time to view live video of your baby. This technology allows you to see your child and receive communication updates on any device with an internet connection. We encourage you to visit in person as often as possible but hope that the AngelEye System will help you feel more connected and provide comfort when you are not able to visit your child.
