This 90-minute class is designed for women who have already attended the Prenatal Breastfeeding Class
and want more information on pumping breast milk and returning to work. Clients may attend the class prenatally (support person welcome) or in the first month postpartum (infants welcome).
Topics covered include: different types of breast pumps, insurance coverage for pumps, when to start pumping, milk storage guidelines, transitioning to a bottle, establishing a pumping schedule, and women's right to breastfeed in public and express breast milk while at work. Information on community resources for the support of continued breastfeeding will be given as well.
Note: Prenatal Breastfeeding Class is not a firm prerequisite - it is just encouraged.
