In this season of giving, please consider supporting Chester County Hospital on #GivingTuesday -- November 27, 2018. Your support makes a difference toward groundbreaking medical advances and helps provide lifesaving care to our community!
On Tuesday, November 27, 1894, The Women’s Auxiliary hosted the first ever annual Donation Day at Chester County Hospital. Nearly 125 years ago, the event helped replenish the hospital supply cupboard with various items contributed by Auxilians, school children and local residents – linens, hospital garments, dishes, furniture, books, toiletries, food staples, fresh produce and cash. Chester County Hospital’s early survival and growth depended on these contributions from individuals, community groups, and businesses.
Long before the current observance of #GivingTuesday, the residents of Chester County, PA and surrounding community stepped forward to establish a tradition of support and generosity for their hospital. As we celebrate the 125th Anniversary of The Women's Auxiliary to Chester County Hospital, we want to honor the deep culture of philanthropy that has helped shape this institution.
After Thanksgiving, we hope you will take a moment on Tuesday, November 27, 2018, #GivingTuesday, to help us honor the hospital’s first “Giving Tuesday” in 1894. Your contributions will help sustain the growth and exceptional health care provided by Chester County Hospital well into the next century.
